Now that the technology conference March Madness is over, how are other mediums using that technology to achieve more?

• Learn how to videoblog, or just collaborate on projects with other vloggers at SuperHappyVlogHouse. The gathering commences with a Creative Commons talk at 4pm on March 31, and vloggers likely will produce content into the wee morning hours of April 1 at The Hat Factory in San Francisco. The NewTeeVee team will be onsite joining the fun.
• The Nonprofit Technology Network (N-TEN) is holding the Nonprofit Technology Conference, which focuses on “Reinventing Politics: Creating Social Change From the Ground Up,” from April 4-6 in Washington, D.C.

Good Freeware software list from winAddons.com.

What makes Laptop vendors like HP choose to be so sucky at supporting graphics drivers.  I have an HP Compaq nx7010.  It is my main PC.  The one I’d like to play games on.  The only problem is that the graphics drivers are ancient.  So I’m stuck playing ancient games.  I don’t expect this Laptop to play Crysis but at least HL2: Episode One would be nice.  Sure it’ll crawl along at 800×600 but I’m ok with that.

Well, OK so he didn’t rip off the entire song. But he did use a fairly big sample out of it and has done so multiple times. Just another example of why “producers” in pop & hip-hop music are really just post-modern mix-artists pulling together other peoples work into catchy mash ups & loops. More musical talent than I’ve got maybe, but not exactly Beethoven.

Argh!  First my laptop dies, now my fricken iPod.  I’m having no luck of late.  When will the pain end?

I can’t believe how much of an Apple fan boy I’ve turned into.  I got my Mum an iBook a couple years ago and now I’m trying to convince my father to buy a MacBook or MacBook Pro instead of an HP or something similar.  I own an HP nx7010 myself.  I run Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP on it.  Why is it that I have Apple envy?  I’d certainly dig having my own Apple notebook as the hardware is pretty slick.  Though, what OS would I run on it?  Probably Ubuntu and Windows again.
